HMI release new digital learning courses
The Health Management Institute of Ireland, along with our digital learning partners The Learning Rooms, have released two new digital learning resources designed for the Irish Healthcare market.
Both eLearning courses satisfy a real training and compliance need that HMI clients have identified as an ongoing issue. The digital delivery of these courses enables healthcare staff to complete the courses in their own time and at their own pace.
Course delivery can be via our partners Learning Management System. Alternatively, organisations can host it on their own learning technology solution to enable tracking staff completion and achievement for compliance.
The Hand Hygiene online course is designed to equip participants working in a healthcare environment with essential hand hygiene knowledge. Participants will learn about industry best practices, for example why hand hygiene is so important, when to perform hand hygiene procedures, and the correct hand washing technique. This Hand Hygiene online course utilises WHO’s Five Moments for Hand Hygiene, so that learners understand the context and importance of hand hygiene.
Basic Fire Safety, online course
The Basic Fire Safety online course is designed to equip participants with essential fire safety knowledge and the procedures that they need to follow in the event of a fire in the workplace. This course has been built around legislative guidelines that outline causes of fire, fire prevention, different types of fire and how to deal with a fire upon discovery. On completion of the Basic Fire Safety online course, participants will have developed the skills to help identify fires, potential fire hazards and fire prevention measures to help maintain workplace safety and the safety of their colleagues.
