HMI South Regional Meeting
‘Managing self-care in the healthcare environment during a pandemic’
13.00 – 14.00, Monday 23rd November, 2020
HMI South invites you to a live interactive webinar on Monday 23rd November, 2020.
Times: 13.00 – 14.00
Covid-19 has had many differing impacts on everyone over the past months, not least upon our resilience and in some cases our mental health. Healthcare workers, clinical and non-clinical who work at the coalface of the pandemic have experienced many challenges and responded accordingly during our experience of Covid-19 so far. With so much going on in our working and personal lives as a result of the pandemic, it can be easy to overlook self-care and run on empty.
Join us on Monday 23rd November, 2020 to hear from Dr. Jennifer Hayes, Principal Psychology Manager, HSE, who will present on Managing self-care in the healthcare environment during a pandemic.
In her current role with the HSE, Jennifer provides psychology services to Syrian families who have survived war and conflict. Jennifer also has a small private practice. She has assisted the Department of Justice with UN Selection missions in Beirut and Jordan and is therefore no stranger to working in very challenging circumstances and coping with the personal impact of raw human suffering.
In 2014, she led her team to receive the HMI award as joint winners for the Cork Beats Stress Initiative with the GAA. She is delighted to return to the HMI to speak with healthcare workers on the importance and challenges of self-care, along with suggestions on how we can take better care of ourselves in the midst of all the challenges we face in the COVID-19 pandemic
