The Health Management Institute, DNE Region is delighted that Ian Carter, recently appointed National Director of Acute Hospitals (Designate), HSE, has agreed to address the next regional meeting.
Prior to taking up his new role, Ian, who is also Adjunct Professor in TCD, was on secondment to the HSE as Special Projects Manager. Ian is a former Chief Executive Officer of St. James’s Hospital, Dublin, having previously served as Deputy CEO from 1997 until 2006. He has also held the positions of Assistant CEO (Acute Hospitals) Mid Western Health Board (1997) and General Manager (Acute Hospitals) Mid Western Health Board (1993-97).
